In the late 1970s, 8-year-old Italian expat Laura Giannatempo took a family roadtrip through the National Parks of the American southwest. To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Parks Service, she recreated that trip with her own 8-year-old son Luca, hoping it would have an equally profound effect on him.
